Centech Park

CenTech Park is a 121-acre technology park located within an Economic Target Area in the towns of Grafton and Shrewsbury. The Worcester Business Development Corporation (WBDC) acquired the land from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1994. Over the past 10 years the WBDC in cooperation with the towns of Grafton and Shrewsbury completed all the necessary infrastructure and permitting work to allow for 650,000 square feet of development.

CenTech Park has expanded the communities' tax bases and created long term sustainable employment for the region. Development uses in the park include biotechnology, light manufacturing, research & development, or other related economic development uses. Current tenants in the park include Primary Colors, UMass, Verrillon, IMC, IDEXX, and State Street Bank. To date, seven parcels have been sold, and two parcels remain available for sale.

To improve access to CenTech Park and open up land for development in the area, the WBDC in partnership with the Town of Shrewsbury has constructed a 1.1-mile connector road, CenTech Boulevard, from Route 20 to the entrance of CenTech Park. CenTech Boulevard, opened in 2006, not only provides direct access to CenTech Park, but improves access to the Grafton MBTA Commuter Rail Station, the Tufts/Cummings Veterinary School and Science Park, and the Grafton Job Corp. More importantly, CenTech Boulevard opens up 69 acres of additional surplus Grafton State Hospital Property for future development by the WBDC.

Because CenTech Park in Grafton is a Massachusetts Chapter 43D Priority Development Site, companies choosing to locate in the park will enjoy expedited permitting. The park is also located in a state-designated Economic Target Area, making additional benefits and incentives available to companies choosing to locate here.
